Big news - Brielle learned to clap! It's true and it is so thrilling for me. She started clapping on her own and now whenever we say "Yea!" or we clap with her she gets so excited and claps along. I think it is so exciting because it is one of the very first really interactive things she has done. She can actually watch me and copy it and do it herself. Wow. Just like with standing, because this is a new trick she loves to do it all the time. It is fun!Her ability to clap came at the perfect time. I had been wanting to see the exhibit at the church art museum that was featured in the Ensign. It is the 7th Annual International Art Competition. They have pieces from members all around the world. So we went today to stroll through the art work. There were oil paintings, sculptures, photographs, etc. It was so incredible. There were so many that I just stood and stared at for a long time and loved to look at all the detail and talent. Brielle was also appreciative of the artwork. She clapped her whole way through the museum. It was a fun day out. We even got to have lunch with Scott downtown. That got a few claps as well.

That is so cute, and looks like a lot of fun. Enjoy it while you can. The thought of taking my boys into an art museum is a rather unnerving thought. We are planning on going to an interactive Da'Vinci musuem in Italy. Hopefully there is not too much they can hurt, or too many ears they can bother there.
can she clap for the AL Champs
that is darling! i'm working with abby on clapping. she's not quite there yet. but i love this age, don't you? they start to really have conversations. i know certain noises abby makes mean certain things and she listens and then "talks." it's so fun to see them learn.
are you going to to baby signs? this is the perfect time to start!
Congratulations to Brie on learning to clap! At what age do we stop lauding every small advancement? I recently learned how to talk a gypsie cab driver down to almost half his fare. Do I get any recognition?
