The Day After

The day after Thanksgiving was just as fun! Scott and I had carefully looked over the After Thanksgiving Day ads of every store for their sales and doorbuster prizes. We had decided there was really nothing that we wanted to buy, so we weren't going to bother going out with the crowd. But, if you know us, we don't want to miss the party, so we headed out into the crowds anyway. Brie had us all awake by 7am, so we left the house and didn't really return. We went to the mall, Target, Circuit City, TJ Maxx, Mervyns and really only bought a of couple shirts for Brielle. We mostly wanted to see the action of the day after Thanksgiving.

After shopping, we picked up our friends Digby (Rick) and his wife Arielle for lunch. They are visiting from Philidelphia. They wanted real Mexican food and we had it. Yum. Brie enjoyed the lemon. For some reason she loves sucking on them. Sidenote: Not one of us had showered or gotten ready for the day. We had lunch and then met up with Greg and Bradley to go to the zoo. It was a gorgeous day to walk around the zoo and it was the first time that Brie actually noticed the animals. She looked stunned and amazed!
Scott had Brie show her bear to the real bears.
This is a cute picture of her watching the giraffes in total amazement.
After the zoo, we rushed home to get our house ready for a very spontaneous party. Scott had all of his closest friends (and some wives and kids) over for the evening. Many of them were in town for the holiday, so it was great to see them. It was so fun to hear all of their stories. It really sounds like they were good kids, did well in school, and had a great time too. They have some hilarious stories to tell. Posted by Picasa

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! You know, Steven liked to eat lemons too. I remember we would go to restaurants, and he would suck on them and keep himself occupied for a long time. I have heard that their taste buds are not completely developed til their older so that could explain it. :)
