There is so much to tell about our time in Seattle. We LOVED it! Both Scott and I thought it was a fabulous city. We could definitely live there someday. Now, we should note that we never saw even one drop of rain while in the northwest. So before we make any big decisions we would have to go back and visit anytime between October and May. I'm thinking for a Bakersfield girl who grew up in a place where it rains maybe seven days out of the year, I might not feel the same way after experiencing the rainy season there. The days we were there though were beautiful.
We started out in the morning walking from our hotel to Pioneer Square. It was a great walk. That is my favorite way to see a city is to walk all over it. Pioneer Square was a cool place that had an artisan fair going on and some live music and we ate a BUFFALO CHIP! A really big chocolate chip cookie. We then started the Underground Tour of Seattle. It was fascinating. There is a whole city of buildings underneath the sidewalks of Seattle. This was the original city, but it was too low for high tide so they built the city up. Smart eh? It was very interesting.

After our tour we walked through the city again to Pike's Place Market. It is a huge farmers market selling lots and lots of fish and seafood and huge beautiful flowers and incredible looking fruits and vegetables. We wandered through for awhile and had a good time checking out all the goods. We then found an oyster bar where we had our seafood. Scott had seafood gumbo and I had fish and chips (in honor of Fred and Rama).

Al- Don't fool yourself. Bakersfield girls can live anywhere! For instance, in the snow. Brielle is such a darling little girl. Only 3 more months until we meet.
What a wonderful trip! Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery, beautiful people, restful places to be and exciting things to do. You really lucked out for those ten days. Thanks for sharing your vacation with us through photos and descriptions.
