We got to go to the Enchanted Forest with the Oregon Buchanans for Labor Day. Ariana and Mina were so excited about it and really, they had every reason to be. It was such a fun place for kids their age. The Enchanted Forest is a small amusement park tucked into the trees a little bit north of Eugune, OR. It had an Alice in Wonderland rabbit hole to crawl through (Scott and Glenn attempted this and barely made it through), the three bears house, indian caves, an old English village, a water show, etc. etc. It has all the fairy tale homes and characters. I think everyone had the best time sliding down the slide out of the shoe from "There is an old woman that lived in a shoe . . . " and finding their way through the maze of the indian caves. Oh, and they loved the log ride that splashed so much water when you came down a steep hill. We all agree that the WORST part was the "Princess and the Pea" play. Bad acting, bad singing and bad jokes.
I thought it was so cute how the whole drive home was spent with Ariana and Mina discussing everything that we saw and did and what their favorite part was. We all had a good time.
