Amsterdam

We spent our last day in Holland in Amsterdam. I remember Amsterdam as such a beautiful European city. It is a different story when you are marching 4 small children through the city. There all kinds of things to block from their view. Luckily, we focused on the beautiful city part and not the prostitution and free drug use part.
This is Brielle eating her muffin for breakfast with the North Sea in the background.
We parked the cars in a smaller city (quite tricky with the camper) and took the train into Amsterdam. Nathan, Scott, Brielle, Teresa and Jacob on the train.
Steve, Steven, Nathan, Teresa and Jacob walking through Amsterdam. Teresa and Steve kept a close watch on what the boys were seeing. We passed 10 Argentinean steak houses in a row. I guess there is no dutch food. We chose one and for me it was the perfect meal of a nice steak, good salad and fries. Brielle enjoyed the scraps of Teresa's spare ribs.Teresa, Steve and the boys with their Argentine steaks. We then took a canal cruise through the city. Amsterdam is built on canals. People use the canals for transportation and many live on house boats on the canals. It was very scenic and a nice way to see such an old and pretty city.We went through many bridges like this one. You can see house boats on either side of the canal. The bike up top shows that EVERYONE rides a bike. EVERYONE. We made it to the main plaza area and then decided to head home.
I made one last stop. The huge cones of french fries looked so good to me. We got fries with a curry sauce, green pepper sauce and I made fry sauce. Delicious.
