Back when our little Brielle was only three years old, she started dance class. Surprisingly enough to both me and another mother, there was another little girl named Brielle in the class. We've never met another Brielle. We were then surprised again when this same Brielle was in her preschool class and then again in her first grade class! They have been best friends since they started preschool together at three years old. There have been lots of play dates and a lot of fun between them. This last year in first grade they became really close and have the cutest group of best friends at school.
A few months ago, Brielle's mom told me that they would be moving to Arizona as soon as the school year ended. This has been so, so sad for both of these girls. They were dreading the end of the year. Brielle decided she wanted to have a going away party for Brielle - kind of like one last big play date. She invited their friends and we planned what we would do.
All these girls were so excited to have this day together. They all came. We beaded bracelets, ate pizza and root beer, played that fun Skittles game, painted nails, made ice cream sundaes, etc. Mostly there was a lot of talking and playing and giggling. It was so cute to see Brie with her besties.
Pizza. They had so much fun with this game. Definitely a hit!
We brought in the professional for nail painting. Seriously, if I've learned anything having Tawna live with us it is that she re-paints her nails every other day. She's got to be good. What was so cute was that these girls serenaded her while she painted their nails. They sang her the Spanish songs they were practicing for the school program.
Scott is seriously the best. What a good sport. He dried nails and had some good talks with the girls.
Tawna apparently also had a good talk with Kammi Nicole. You gotta know the girl.Bye bye Brielle.
BFFs.
Now Brielle is gone and living in AZ. They have decided to be pen pals though. I love it. They can each practice their writing all summer. Although, every letter so far has talked about how they miss each other so much they are almost always bursting into tears. He he.

Alicia Ann,
I just got on your blog for the first time in ages. (computer makes me nauseous.) How fun to read about some of your fun summer happenings. It feels like forever since we've talked. But I'm sure we'll catch up sometime soon. I've never played "that skittle game"... sounds fun. And, Ava's hair looks shorter and super cute! And, I love Kate's ponytail, so cute! And, the bison burgers sound scrumptious right now (craving protein and iron). :) miss you, love,
Kam
