FWEEEEE!

Ava turned FWEEEE on September 5. We had quite the celebration . . . a very Dora celebration. Ava's birthday was so fun because she was so excited. She understood that it was her birthday and was thrilled about it. She had all kinds of ideas and requests for her day. Everything was about a Dora The Explorer party. That is what she got.

Ava woke up in the morning and found the whole house decorated with pink and orange balloons and streamers. She also found a HUGE Dora balloon. This balloon has been her best friend all week. Then came presents. Of course she got a Dora doll that sings Happy Birthday (and Feliz Cumpleanos) to her. Grandma and Grandpa Allred got her more tracks and trains for her Thomas the Train set. This was a huge hit! And she even got some princess lip gloss. ZACHZILLA attacks the trains every time they are running and drives the girls CRAZY! He thinks it is hilarious. I can see this being a common story for the rest of our lives.
Ava helped make her pink Dora cupcakes before church and then we put her to work again when we got home to help make the Mac n' Cheese. Ava's favorite food is Mac n' Cheese, but more specifically the Mac n' Cheese from Noodles and Co. We recreated their recipe trying to make it just like theirs. You don't even want to know what is in it, but everyone seemed to like it.When all the family was coming for the party, Brie and Ava hid in the balloons to pop out and surprise them. We had all of Scott's and my family that is in Utah here with us to celebrate. It was one fun party, even though Ava didn't want any boys at her party. I guess she made exceptions for Henry and Aiden.We sang Happy Birthday, blew out candles and everyone got a pink cupcake with pink frosting with a Dora on top just as Ava requested. I love this Ava girl. She is so cute as a 3 year old. She says the funniest things and is just hilarious to be around. Happy Birthday Ava Potata!
