Preschool Finish

Right now Brielle is at her last day of preschool (Ava is watching Dora and Zach is sleeping). She cried and cried this morning as we were getting ready. She will miss her teacher (although she'll be back in the fall), she'll miss school, but she is devastated that she won't see her friends anymore. So sad.

Preschool has been great. Brie has gone every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am - 11:30am. She loves her teacher, Ms. Chris. She is a sweet, quiet, calm and patient woman. She has preschool right from her home. This made for a perfect setting for Brielle. Brie has learned a lot this year. She learned to write and recognize and sound out all of her letters and numbers. She also learned about different countries, weather patterns, time, etc. Brielle has been thrilled that she can write letters and lists just like I do. She has spent a lot of time and a lot of computer paper on this. She also does a lot of drawing. Notice how all of these ladies are pretty huge. It's because they have ball gowns on. Some have babies in their tummies and her ladies almost always are wearing coconut shells on top. She always says, "This one is a little immodest mommy, but it's ok."The learning has been fun, but what is most important to this girl are the friends. She tells me all about funny Luke and how Ellie wasn't nice and Angelina had a beautiful necklace, etc. etc. She is quite the social butterfly. I wonder who she takes after? Her teacher always comments on how much Brielle loves to laugh and play with the friends and how they all love having her as a friend. (I wonder if this is code for the fact that she is not sitting still and paying attention???)Last week was Brielle's spring performance at preschool. It was a cowboy theme and she got to dress up. Hooray! I asked for a picture and this is the posing I got.I am so glad she had such a good year and learned so much. Now on to summer. What will we do?
