4TH OF JULY!!!

Our 4th of July was FABULOUS!! Seriously. This is one of my favorite holidays and this year it was everything it should be. We were so lucky to have my Mom and Dad here from CA and my Grandma join us from St. George. It was so fun.

We left early to a neighborhood party and breakfast in the neighborhood that Scott grew up in. We got to be with Fred and Rama there. The party was absolutely amazing. The breakfast was good, but they also had pony rides, face painting, cake walk, blow up bounce house and slide, fishing, dunk booth, balloons, children's parade, live music and more. We did it ALL. So fun.

Alicia and Brie marching around fireworks in the children's parade.After the breakfast we always go to the Millcreek Parade (where we used to live). This year we missed the parade (and I think you can see why), but went over to see the float that Brian and Rachel and kids did for the parade.
Brie and Ava were mostly excited to get to play with her cousins. The afternoon was spent napping by the girls and watching the Red Sox vs. Yankees game by the guys. Not much that is more American than the Red Sox beating the Yankees, now is there? We then went down to the Sandy parade. It was fun to be at the parade, but it was long and slow. Brie loved it because there were "princesses" (Ms. Sandy, Ms. Draper, etc.). We set up on the grass with everyone else. We had a ton of food for a picnic dinner and listened to a Blue Grass band. I loved it. We had to keep the girls entertained for next few hours during the concert while we waited for the fireworks to begin.Ava didn't make it. She was sound asleep in the middle of all that noise from the concert. She woke up to the fireworks, looked up in the sky and started laughing.Scott and Brie watching for the fireworks.
