Well I guess we kind of had a spring break - Brielle didn't have preschool and the girls didn't have dance class, so spring break it was. We tried to do something fun each morning and then came home for a good, long quiet time in the afternoon. That sounds like a pretty good spring break, eh?
Monday: Our playgroup went to the Children's Museum at the Gateway together. It was really fun for the kids. I watched my phone for text messages of how Dad's heart transplant was going.

Who looks scarier the watch dog or the watch girl?

Can you find the poser of the group?

Best peek-a-booing ever!
Tuesday: We went to a fun Storytime at the library. We stayed and read books until Zachary was tearing up the place too much, so we took ourselves to McDonalds to eat lunch and play.
There was also a lot of this every day.
Wednesday: I asked the girls what they wanted to do - the park, the zoo, visit Grandma and Papa? They shouted (with much more enthusiasm than you would expect) that they wanted to go to IKEA!!!! They were so excited. They ran to get dressed, put on shoes and then wait in the van. It was like we were headed to Disneyland. They played in the Children's play area while Zach and I wondered Ikea for an hour eating Swedish fish.
Thursday: We stayed home to clean the house in the morning, went grocery shopping and then made three batches of homemade granola in the rainy afternoon.
Good Friday: Scott has Good Friday off of work, so he got to come with us to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. It was fun and pretty. We all got good, long naps afterward. That was heavenly.
Ava and Brie guided us with their maps.

The kid loves a good fountain.

Rolling down the hill.
That evening was Henry's 4th Birthday party. A Cars party. The kids got to paint little cars, pop popcorn and watch short clips from Cars on the wall.

Saturday: We finally saw the Carl Bloch exhibit at BYU's Museum of Art. Tracy met us there to get us in and show us around. It was outstanding. I had no idea how impressive these paintings would be in person. Wow. It was also cool to hear of all the work that Tracy did in putting the exhibit together. Only problem was that we had to wrestle a tired and feverish Zachary through the whole thing. I was so glad I got to see this though.

And in preparation for Easter the next day . . . . we dyed Easter eggs that night.

All in all a good spring break.

What an exciting week! The tulips are amazing. The pictures are beautiful and so are the people. A very lovely Easter for your family.
Oh my goodness! You sure know how to pack it in. What fun memories you're making. That first picture of the kids and all the spring flowers is sooo cute!... frame-able for sure, even though Ava's hands are up.
