Pink Fairies!

Brielle is playing soccer for her first time this year. We thought it would be a fun, active thing for her to do. We also thought it might toughen her up a little. We were "lucky" enough to get the pink jerseys. We thought she would be thrilled. When Scott brought them home Brie was quite disappointed and said she had wanted a "clear jersey with sparkles, spaghetti straps and a little poof coming off the strap". Well, you can see where this is going, right? Soccer just might not be her thing. But she is going to practices with Scott and played in her first game anyway. The girls chose to name their team the Pink Fairies. So now Scott is referred to as "King of The Pink Fairies". Feel free to call him that. Their first game (last Saturday) against the Blue Thunder was kind of windy and kind of cold, but they did well. They just chased the ball around and tried to kick it if it came close. That is all you get with 5 year olds. (See the little black girl towering over all the others. Turns out she is the daughter of Paul Millsap from the Jazz. He's in the background.)
Brielle did the most whining about being cold and actually MUCH preferred to be here with her friend Marissa than in the game.
Ava and Zachary kept plenty happy with the oranges provided.Every Saturday for the next few months. Go Pink Fairies!

This post is hilarious. I am glad you at least gave her the opportunity to play sports with The King of the Pink Fairies love for sports. But, I am glad you have Zach getting older to take that role soon.

This is the funniest post I have ever read. Fairies are supposed to just float around and look beautiful. I've never heard of one who had to kick a ball down a field. Good luck King Scott.

What a magnificent backdrop in which to play soccer! I really hope we get stationed in Utah at some point in our military career!

And King of the Pink Fairies....I am CRACKING up about that one. Can't wait to see what Randi has to say about that one!
