Zachary Turns 4!

Mr. Z  man turned 4 years old. He has been talking about his birthday and planning who would be at his party and what his cake would be like and pointed out every single thing in every single story that he wanted me to get him for his birthday. He was ready. I was just hoping the day lived up to all of his big dreams.

Zachary's birthday was on a Sunday, so on Saturday we invited just a few of his closest church buddies for a bday celebration. All Zach wanted to do for his birthday was go to what he calls "his birthday store" (because it opened on his birthday), Scheels. So Josh, big Sam, little Sam and Zachary hit Scheels (a sporting goods store) and everything they have there. It was actually really fun. Good idea Zachary.
Ferris wheel.
Bowling.
Shooting guns.
Monster Trucks.
And wildlife.
At the end of all the fun a sporting goods store can offer, we used their little eating area to pass out cupcakes and cups of milk and sing a kind of hushed Happy Birthday song. Happy kids.Turned out to be a great little "birthday party".

On Zachary's birthday he woke up to the surprise of getting to eat Trix!!! As if that wasn't enough, he got to eat his cereal out of the birthday bowl and saw his stack of presents waiting for him. This kid was feeling special. And then off to church.
Typical squinty eyes in any picture taken outside.
And he's all done with the photo shoot with a pout and a "hmmf!"
Poor guy finally got to open his presents. Scott found the coolest rocket launcher for him. He loved it.
We got him a boombox so he could play primary songs while he falls asleep at night. The girls wrapped up a giant, long gummy snake. I think that was the winner of the day.
Oh, and I found this game where you throw balls at velcro vests that was a real hit.
The birthday partying continued on at Landon and Sarah's house for Allred family dinner. It was great to share this big birthday cake with cousins.
Singing Happy Birthday. Look at Zachy's face. He's just so happy that it's his day. Love it.
Zachary got some birthday money from Grandma Great and Grandma Rama. The very next day we were at Target for him to buy his items from the dollar bins. He felt like such a big kid when he got to put them up on the belt and pay for them himself. Thank you to the Grandmas for remembering him.
A happy, happy birthday to our Zachary boy!
