Easter was a good one. Quite simple and quiet. We said good bye to the Skinners as they drove off to California for their own Easter and we went directly to Brian and Rachel's house for a lovely "Good Friday Dinner" with the Buchanan Clan. It was beautiful. My favorite were the orange chocolate covered strawberries made to look like carrots. So cute. The kids favorite was the easter egg hunt Aunt Rachel did for them. We all had a nice time, as always.

Saturday evening Scott boiled us some eggs and got out all the supplies for dying. The kids loved it. I think they like it the older they get. They know how to draw and be creative. If only we had given then a few more cartons of eggs.

Check this kid out. The effects of a long, fun week with cousins for spring break! He's a wreck.
Scott had to work Sunday, so missed the kids waking up to their baskets and easter egg hunt. He chose to miss that so that he could be with us at church though and we were all glad. The kids woke up to find their baskets filled with candy and that the Easter Bunny had hidden all the eggs they colored around the backyard early in the morning. They were very excited, especially the little boy who lives only for candy. He kept yelling, "Mmmmmm, SUGAR!!!"
The hunt for their colored eggs.

Then it was time we got all dressed up in our Sunday best and went off to church with Scott.
Trying my hardest to just get ONE picture of the three of them. I end up yelling, swearing and crying. Zachary kept stomping on the girls poor sandaled feet. They of course were screaming. Fun.
At least this one cooperates quite nicely.
We were happy to have the Petersens come up for Easter dinner after church and naps. Tawna made the best fruit salad . . . sooooo good. Oh and they made two really good desserts. We need to have them more often.

That was an exciting Easter for you. The kids all look so nice in their outfits, and the colored eggs turned out perfect. What
special times with such special families, and it's so nice to be able to record all the memories on a blog.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who yells and screams and begs and pleads to get pictures of her kids.
I love your girls' Easter outfits. Love them!
